Try and drain yor float bowl and then see what happens. My recon does this sometimes after i go through REALLY deep water and some water collects in the float bowl. Hope this helps!

Hey redrecon...can you please tell me how to drain the float bowl? I have never done this and I really hope to get the recon back up and running for tomorrow. Thanks a lot!

I think to drain the float bowl you have to find it first then take out the screw that goes right up through it then it should come off then you can dump the water/fuel out.

I have never done anything like this and wouldn't know which screw or what it is? I know where the idle adjustment screw is. But do i have to take the carb apart or anything for this? I don't know how to do it...I need some instructions...lol

Look where the overflow pipe attaches to the carb. There should be a screw there..lossen it up. My dads 300 Suki did this once and it turned out the needle came off and stuck in the main jet. Take the carb off and go thru it. I'm betting the main jet is clogged with junk.
