be clear about this. This is also the way to wear out your engine fast!

ok, i have heard this before, but i ride in a really dusty environment, and also do a lot of creek crossing and run into some deep water, so i kinda feel safer with the lid on. i already run a K&N filter, and it takes so much of a beating, that i have to clean it just about after every ride...5hrs. or more.

but the air box woln't fit?
will i get anything out of running a 350X breather hose?

What I mean is without a air filter all the dust (read micro particles of dirt) are abrasive, and will wear out the cylinder, rings and such, then get into the oil, and bearings. Shall I explain further? I wouldn't even run a engine without a air cleaner outside of my garage, but it is super clean, just for autobody painting and engine biulding.

hey honda205X since you dont want to run without your lid and you want more flow do this , buy a set of uni airbox filters they come in sets of 6 and they are mini air filters , you drill 6 1 inch holes in your airbox and pop um in and they are cleanable so you will be always getting PREFILTERD air in you air box better flow + more protection how can you not love it ? they are only about $7 so they arent a big item ! good luck ! i plan on getting 12 of them and putting them on my 250X !
