Well I searched around and came up with nothing, and I know this post hasnt been on here for a while so it wont hurt anyone to do a little revewing.

Ive been cleaning my quad up really, really good lately, got the tires shining, wd-40 all over the plastic, and just really have it cleaned up nice. I have tons of scratches all over the rear plastic.

I know RM sells some stuff that is supposed to rid your atv of scratches, but dont you also have to sand, and paint and do stuff like that. Can anyone tell me how to do it properly so it looks good?

Thanks

I know this isn't what you want to hear, but my advice is to just learn to live with it. It's all part of the ATVing experience. Anyways, even if you do take the time and get all of the scratches out, they will be back again by your next ride.

You can get some Plastic Renew at just about any dealer. It does require you to sand out the scratches. When you have it sanded, then you apply the Plastic Renew and you need to buff with steel wool every few coats. It will look great if you take the time to do it properly. Then again, it won't stop it from getting re-scratched.

DO NOT use PC plastic renew. I used that stuff on my 200sx and it destroyed it. You havta sand off the factory clear coat then add another layer which will eventually wash off and look like crap.

Sand it then wash it with softscrub and a scotchbrite, dry it then apply some Armor-All let it soak in abit then buff it. I've heard some people using Mop-n-Glow with good results.
