How about it guys? how do they compare power/torque wise? How about on the track? A 440ex with wider aarms and axle look really nice, how about performance wise vs. a stock width 400ex? I have a ds650 and am gettin into motocross pretty heavly. The ds is a great built machine, i like it alot, but its heavy for the jumping and whoops. it tires alot faster then another lighter machine would. I"m planning on keeping the ds but buying a new one. Used actully..a fairly high priced used, souped up 440ex. What does everything think of this?

440EX's are very very competitive in MX. Sounds good!

Go for it,,the 400ex is a great quad, just lacking a LITTLE bit of power. With a 440 kit and some other mods the bike is very competitive because its easy to ride, and good power. I would maybe do a compression test to make sure the motor is sealed up good, or just look for oiling burning. Things like that to make sure the bike is in top shape. If not, I hope you don't mind working on it.
