I am wanting to be the wolf in sheeps clothing. I am looking for hi perf upgrades that will not be seen from someone just looking the bike over. I was considering a rev box (white brothers or big gun) and some other little engine tweaks. Does anyone have this kind of setup running stock with a rev box and jetting???? Just wondering about this and if anyone had any ideas on this topic???? Thanks Zingnut

So 250rampage what kind of money are we talking about on the piston, boring, and cam that you incurred. Also, how was your stock exhaust modified. Are you running any kind of rev box???? Thanks for the reply!!!!

So 250rampage what kind of money are we talking about on the piston, boring, and cam that you incurred.

<< You can expect around 100 for piston kit, 55 for boring, 150 or so for the cam. Porting will also be 50-150 or so depending on what you have done >>

Also, how was your stock exhaust modified.

<< Click here for info about modifying the stock exhaust. >>

Are you running any kind of rev box????

<< Nope, I see no need to risk damaging my motor by reving it any higher than it does stock, alough mine seems to rev a whole lot higher before the limiter kicks in than my friends new 400ex does...maybe there is some truth to the rumors about the early production 2001's having a different box because honda didn't have any of the regular ones in stock, so they installed XR250r boxes >>

Thanks for the reply!!!!

<< No Problem >>
