i would say the honda because its shaft drive (i think) and also my friend had a suzuki 84 250 utility and it was chain drive , 1 inch of travel in the front and a solid rear !(no suspension). We beat the pi$$ out of it and it USAULLY survived it had tranny problems towards the end but i think it was because i pushed it down the road in 4th with my recon and then he would slam it into reverse and smoke the tires ! anyway i KNOW the suzuki is reliable and the honda should be BULLET PROOF . if i were you id get the honda .

From what I have seen they should both be reliable machines if cared for, but I would go with the Honda because they seemed to ride and handle a little better than the old Suzukis from my experinces

Actually the 250 honda shares the same engine casing as the 300 Honda except the 300 has a bigger bore. It also has the same frame except it has a different front end design. They are very reliable. My friend had one that was put through it.
