Today I took the jug and piston off my 250r. I noticed that there seamed to be a-lot of oil around the counter balance throws of the crank and on the bottom skirt of the piston. My question is, is it normal for the crankcase to receive that much oil from just the mixed fuel or maybe I have a leak from the trans. in to the crankcase. I should have done a vacuum test before tare down but now it all apart and I don’t want to spend the time to put it back together to find out it does have a leak. Thanks for the help!

If you had a leak large enough to care about it'd render a two stroke unrunnable from fouled plugs in short order. Does your plug look like a normal two stroker plug, or is it building up oily ash. Basicly if you're not building up gunk on the piston top and your plugs are fine-foggetaboutit.
