Just curious what the best bang for my buck would be when it comes to 400 EX accessories. I was thinking of either a air filter or a slip on silencer. What has everyone here tried for exhaust accessories? What is everyone running for air filters? It seems like jetting changes are required with most aftermarket add-ons, is this true? Would appreciate any input.

I am not the expert here. I think it would be a new exhast pipe from what I have read. I have never messed with most of my machines because I can't even use all my machines potential in stock form. If I were you I would do an advanced search and see what other people have said and have done.

if you want the most power for the least buck then go with a white brotheres e series slip on and a k&n power kit that comes with the dyno jet kit this combo will give lots of power 2-4 horses most likely

The best bang for the buck would probbly be a high compression piston. Even if its the stock size it would still make more of a differnce then a pipe. And it would still only be around 300 dollars installed by a dealer.

Don't even bother with a slip-on, get a full system. From what I've witnessed the E-Series Pro Meg is the way to go. Jet it up and take off the butterfly off your carb. High compression piston, cam, port to follow as money allows. You will notice a gain with the butterfly removal and its free.
