rubicon owners???

I'll bet the slack had not been removed from the throttle cable on either machine. When the slack is removed and set to the owner's manual specifications the power, response, and torque improve alot or it did on mine. Without doing this I don't believe the motor fully opens up.

I think it was that you did not know how to use its power... I know i felt like it did not have much power when i frist got it. I boged it down on small hills and everyting. Manly cause i was trying to ride it like i ride my trx300.... now that i ride it like a rubicon I've never boged it down nor felt a "slip" nor have had a problem spinning in grass.
Its like a automatic car/turck. they have the same power as the manuals but it is mastered differently then the autos... ex. anyone can burn a wheel in a manual, but the same truck, as auto, will not spin off the line

i dont think the problem was me.it didnt have enough power for me.i guess if you go from a honda 300 to a rubicon /you might think it has plenty of power but i ride a 400 polaris explorer and had a 500 sportsman and the rubicons that i rode and the ones i ride with seem like they are down in power.

ever since the day i got mine i have been able to slide the 600 pound beast through a doughnut in dry or wet grass, mud, dirt. i have no problem with low power. i have some freinds that have a Arctic Cat 500 and a Polaris 500 and i have no problem matching power with them. Especially the AC 500. that thing is slow. it gets stuck in mud a lot too.
