350X power
#1
I just bought a very very clean and spotless 85 350X.
It seems to have JUST as much torque as my 01' 400EX I sold, though not as much high end power. Is this usually the case?
I might think that the 400EX would take it in a dragrace, but mostly because of its gearing. The 350X is geared low, (6 speed) and revs each gear out VERY quickly, though its not moving as fast as the 400 in the same gear. How well does a healthy 350X climb a huge dune with nice paddles? I would seem hard to keep the front end down though, as this thing wheelies when I nail it in 4th without using the clutch.
Comments? Will the X take the 400 on top speed, due to its high 6th gear?

I dont think it will.
but with all the extra money you saved you could build a very nice motor that would wax a 400ex.
Ive seen people lower there trikes to help out in the dunes.
To help keep the front end down an extended swingarm would help.
