I've been looking for a good used quad for my wife. Recon, Bayou, Timberwolf, something like these. There is no sense in buying new, she'll only get to ride it a few times a summer. My 2000 400EX is worth alot less now than when I bought it new. Are these sport-utility quads holding their value better?

sport quads don't hold a lot of value to me because they are sport quads. The image of sports quads being ran, MX track, jumping, trails ect. So people aren't going to pay as much.

You see someone with a recon, you think...its probably beem lightly trail road and small work. But see a 400ex, you see someone jumping and abusing it.

Thats my 2 cents anyways

It all depends on where you live. I live near a big city (Houston) and see good deals in the paper all the time.

But then, I also agree with the old saying that "the best deals are found when you're not looking."

As for the value of an ATV, it is not different than a new car. It drops in value the minute you drive it off the lot.

Hey,

If you are looking for a RECON there is one up here is Somerset, Somerset County Pennsylvania. It is a 1999 Honda Recon and the price is $2000 o.b.o. I looked at it and it looks great. I would buy it but I want a 4x4!
