Kickstart for the 400EX??

Well I think it would be a great idea ! I have an 87' 250X that I have to kickstart to take off and at first I didn't care for it I actually hated it , but no I can kick it over first or second try everytime. Oh yea I disconnected the decompression thing and it still can be kicked over no problem , and I'm not a big guy either , only about 130lbs.

now are the clutch covers the same, i mean can i just slap the new Xr400 cover on?? or what, if i install the kickstarter ofcoarse.

Well, it looks like the XR400 clutch cover will bolt right up to the 400ex, and the guts should go right in, the onl ything is, the XR kicks backwards.... not much room to kick it that way, anyone know of a way to make it kick forwards??

just use a short lever (cut stock one, and weld shorter.)
