Spent last week at Pismo. The guy camped next to me had a bone stock 250R WITH 10 HOURS ON IT!!! He lives in Salinas and bought it new. He only rides once a year when he spends a few days at Pismo. The air filter was as dry as a bone and had some cracks, so we replace it (he didn't know you have to clean and oil the things!). There was a little surface rust on the frame, but other than that the bike was fine and ran well. He had a couple of young boys in their early teens, who are still to light to even kick the thing over. I tried to impress on the kids the fact that they have something special. Maybe as they grow up they will take better care of it than dad did. They seemed pretty enthusiastic, so maybe they'll even ride it once in a while.
