MIA, I'm suprised to see your so open minded about 2strokes.Most people think they are "banned" or will be, that is a bunch of crap, 2strokes aren't going anywhere. Just like "No 2001 CRs" and now the 01 CRs have multi million dollar developed new engines.2 strokes are the way to go for efficiency, light weight, ease of maintenance and power. I don't give a crap what some tree **** thinks, I refuse to spend more for a heavier slower machine I can't work on, but every one seems so content with taking what is given to them.2 stroke off road machines have absolutely no affect on the worlds overall pollution and anyone who thinks they do deserves their reverse equipped electric start bike. The biggest chance for a new 2stroke is from Kaw in a couple years (KXF250 after the Vtwin 650 4stroke) and Bombardier.Keep your fingers crossed and fight for what you want and deserve.

why not an air cooled motor? how about because a liquid cooled motor can be made to produce more power, and not fade like an air cooled motor, and probably last longer because of it.

the Cannondale quads, DS650, and Raptor are all liquid cooled, Honda would be fools to make another aircooled machine!

Also, with Cannondale stepping into the racing scene, I hope they do very well, that way it will entice the other manufacturers in.

companies i'm hopin to see a 2 stroke ATV from:

KTM
REV!
ATK
GAS GAS
Bombadier

any of those companies could come out with a new 2 stroke ATV.its doubtful but it could happen. gas gas was gonna release one for a while but i guess that idea has been canned. those gas gas quads made the cannondales look like a pimped out 250R tho. those gas gas's were UGLY!!

Right on Manillow...
I so want to see 2-strokers & true hi-performance quads come back, full force--and see no reason why they couldn't come back. The market demand is SO there. The one thing they have to (slowly) get past: the negative image they and ATC's caused back in the 80's, thanks to parents not stopping their young kids from getting on them, and hurting/killing themselves. This pollution thing is BS...

Just got the new DirtWheels in the mail, and wholly sheite...small articles on the new sport 400+cc 4-strokers from Kawi, Suzi and Polaris AND a new 2-stroke engine from Bombardier. Good Stuff.

people whine about 2 stroke pollution from quads and bikes, yet there is probably many many times more pollution from BBQ grilles, campfires, leaf blowers and lawn mowers than quads and bikes will ever create. You're right, its a bunch of bogus bullcrap.
