I would try calling Shadetree outdoors at 1-888-Shadetree and see if they have the K&N filters in stock yet for the Rubicon. They often have stuff in stock that hasn't made it to their catolog yet. They are in Northeast Ohio and generally can get things to you next day at normal shipping rates (being you live in Ohio). Where in Ohio do you live? We ride sport and utility machines at Wayne National Forest.

Sorry about some of the other ignorant post. Not all Polaris guys are idiots like the ones above. They would never cuts someones quad down in person, but put them behind a keyboard and suddenly they are big and bad. Just try to learn to ignore the childish post and filter out the good info.

Thanks, it seems the K&N isn't being made yet, I talked to a guy from K&N that said two weeks, I just got another guy from K&N write and said it'll be two months.....someday anyway.
I know it's not the polaris guys, I never made that accusation, I know better, it's the guys that haven't learned how to deal with puberty(no matter how old or what they ride) that run their mouths from the keyboard. I'm used to dealing with crap like that as the administrator for a major paintball gun manufacturer's forum. They don't get much of a chance to do that in there, it's not tolorated.
Wayne National? What part? Aren't you in the northwest part of Ohio? That's a long way from Wayne isn't it.I'm in Southern Ohio near Portsmouth, on the river. The southern section of Wayne isn't very far away and we've been wanting to go with a bunch of our friends that go there regularly. Shawnee State Forest, largest state forest in Ohio, borders some of our farm but we're not allowed to ride in there, they're afaid that we'll damage the forest.......but they allow loggers, bulldozers & skidders to build temporary roads and rape the hills clean......go figure that one.

Yes I do live in Northwest Ohio, so the trip down to Wayne National Forest is a long one, but worth it. We ride in the Monday Creek area near Nelsonville. I actually live right next to the Maumee state forest and they will not let me ride there either. They do have a small riding area about 4 miles away, but it is really crowded and rough riding. They claim I will damage the forest and habitat in the section by my house, but then they go in with a mower and mow down all the brush cover for the animals in the forest . Go figure.

As for the K&N filter, I would check out some other Hondas and or atvs in general and see if there is one that can be adapted to work. I have never seen the Rubicon air filter, but it can't be much different than other manufacturers designs. I think Polaris only uses two basic designs on all of there atvs. Might be worth a trip to the dealer to see if a different one will work. Good luck and take care.

Another helpful and brilliant response. You're level of intelligent conversation is underwhelming and your ability to bring the forum to an unusual level of ignorance is special. Your helpful attitude and knowlege of the topics you seem to want to post in speaks volumes about what you're all about. I hope that someday you'll grow up to be able to carry on a conversation beyond the third grade level and realize this forum has people in here that want real information, not unintelligable drivel from some nitwit that has nothing to add to any converstaion about ATV's.

Be careful about bad mouthing Alabama, the few people that I've met from Ohio weren't what I would consider "Sharp". I don't believe there are many rocket scientists in Ohio, but we have more than our share here in Alabama.

Kids are kids, and unfourtunately, they get to a keyboard unsupervised. Use the filter between your ears and ignore the kids.

Sorry Cap,

If you'd read the responses that they wrote and where they're from I'm sure you'd understand my point. Not one of them addressed my question and all they were doing was slamming their fellow riders equipment. I wasn't slamming Alabama, I was slamming the twits(notice they are all from the same state) and the fact that they weren't doing much for the image of their state. Take offence if you want, that's your choice.
About the rocket scientists, Your comment was totally uncalled for and based on hope, not facts. Go to newsweeks top 100 colleges and see which states have the most on the list.
THis forum is such a diappointment. I get a response, I hurry in to see what kind in information I'm going to get and time after time....... this kind of junk. no information, another "nothing worthwhile" post. Why am I havng so much of a problem getting an answer to such a simple question? Why are there so many posts that have absolutly NOTHING to do with my question? Why is it so difficult to get infomative posts without a bunch of guys coming in and posting junk.
I'm tired of this crap. I'm writing the administrator to get this removed because it's obviously too difficult for most guys to deal with without starting some kind of flame war.

I just put on the fmf megamax2 pipe on my rubi and it works great. As for the k&n, the filter for the 400ex fits the rubi but you have to cut a half inch off the filter so it will fit. Gives you a real tight fit and works great. Also installed a k&n jet kit. All together these made a huge difference in power which is what I needed after putting 27in 589's on my quad along with my fat ***. Only down side is fuel consumption. On a full tank I get 35miles of trail riding. A friend of mine has same mods on his rubi and gets the same milage.

To keep the record straight, after WW II the US Army brought a group of German scientists to Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL. The group included a gentleman named Werner Von Braun, who was the father of the V-2 program in Germany. His work has been to the moon and beyond, in fact, the SCUD missles launched by Iraq during the Gulf War were direct decendents on the V-2's. The Army also brought a number of captured V-2s and other equipment to Huntsville for further reasearch & development. Today, Boeing builds Delta boosters in Decatur, AL., across the river from Huntsville.

Alabama has definately had it's share of rocket scientists.
Those that can do, those that can't teach, and those that don't have a clue become salesmen...

Don't dig yourself in deeper, CB250X. You've had enough fun...
