Any new info (beyond the dealer show) on the Rubicon? Anybody figured out what the front differential is all about? Real ground clearance? Anybody suspect the will move to a selectable 2wd/4wd? etc.?

 

dec issue atv action has a pretty good article about the rubicon. shows a breakdown of engine and more information about transmission and how it works.

 

P.J., we are all waiting for more information on the Rubicon, especially test ride results. With a due date of May, 2000, Honda certainly has plenty of time to "hype" the machine.

The ATV Connection (atving.com) published a feature article just this week on the new Rancher line-up. The article indicates that the 350 4x4 Rancher and the Rubicon share the same front differential, and there is a lengthy description of the differential in the article. You may find enough info in the article to satisfy your curiousity....for now. I don't think selectable 2wd/4wd is in the cards.
