Will my TRX 300 get around in snow?
#3
I ride my two wheel drives in the snow all winter, and have found that they do fine until the frame starts dragging in the snow (7 or 8 inches of snow). What ever depth of snow this happens on your quad is usually the limiting factor. Some times I can float on top of snow that has a "crust", but falling through is a pain when it's a couple of feet deep. Taller tires will help raise your frame...
Good luck,

I have ridden with several 2 wheel drives in the winter.
It seem that 3-5 inches of snow they have a blast, after that
they start slowing down due to wheel spin, and tires floating, but with
the tires you have they will probably dig down. I did run across
a guy on a 300ex last winter in the woods and i was suprised to see
him, because we were in deep snow and down in the bottoms, he had
chains on and was doing pretty good...
