DO YOU BELIEVE THAT SOMEBODY WILL PREFER A 660 INSTEAD OF A 450 WITH THE SAME OR MORE POWER, AND WITH BETTER HANDLING????????, COME ON, WE DO NOT NEED A 650EX, WE, THE HONDA ATV SPORT FANS HAD A 450 LIGHTWEIGHT MOTOR TO FILL THAT FRAME.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif[/img]

JUST MY OPINION!!!

 

im not trying to bad mouth honda at, hell if that had been a 450 or 650, if its power and speed would be equal to that of a raptor or DS and still handle as well as a 400ex one of those would have been in my possesion for sure. If you ask me NO ONE builds an engine as good as Honda. They will take a lickin n' keep on tickin. However i dont know about the realibility of Cdale yet but damn they are appealing and i want one VERY BAD.

 

Something to think about-They say it takes 4 years to get a machine into production from inseption to a marketable product. So, the XR650 engine has been around what, 3 years now. So, that means we MIGHT see it by next year. Now, the CRF450 has been around maybe a year. So, we might see a 450 quad in like 2004?????

Remember, what we see new on the dealers floor, is what the manufacturer was thinking about 4 YEARS AGO!! So, all the manufacturers are always 4 YEARS BEHIND what the current customers want. That's not very reasuring!!

 

Well I have been a die hard honda fan since I was 7, I never REALLY liked yamaha that much or any other atv companys but let me tell you when I get sick of wrenching my R or they make 2 strokes illegal due to immisions, and it's time to buy new quad I can tell you it will NOT be a honda sport quad. Honda quit the race market back in 89' and I doubt they will get back into the BIG BOYS market. Thats just my opinion though. Zeebo.

 

Buyamerican is one of the only smart guys in here. Why stick with the 400EX because sales are up, when you could get honda buyers, plus those riding bomb's, raps, ect. I feel that IF honda comes out with something that were will be a lot of used raps and bombs on the market.

 

Well...650EX uh?
Although it's sad Honda didn't come up with a big boy...they can still be confident in their 400EX.
I'm a banshee rider (read power lover), but there are 2 machines I'd change my shee for...a cannondale or a 400EX. no DS for me, I don't weight 220lbs and 6 feet tall...and I don't like the Raptor behavior over bumps...
Anyways. Let's wait and see (next year)

 

I think the cannondale moto440 is going to be one nice ride.

 

You never know, Honda may introduce some bold new graphics for the 400ex.

i think the future of pure sport atv's are already here, know what it is?? i'll give you a hint, its starts with a C and ends with annondale.

 

raptor660rnh has hit it right on the head. Never see a new 450 from honda.
