Well, once again, Honda has disappointed many of us. Sure, the 4x4 guys are happy to hear about the new 650 whatever you call it (where do they come up with these names anyway???).

This is exactly what we needed Honda ANOTHER 4x4, lets see there are only about 40 diff. 4x4 models to pick from as it is.

We are all patiently waiting for a serious performance quad. Well, i think that the only company that has given us that is Cannondale. What more could we ask for from them. Heck, they are even made in the U.S.A. That means that the money we spend on these things go back into OUR economy, not JAPAN's.

Frankly, i'm fed up with all this sport quad nonsense. If the raptor & 400EX are really that great of a machine, all the pros would be running them, seems funny to me that they are all on 250R's??

Why don't we all step up to the plate and show some support for Cannondale. Sure, they are a new and unproven company, but look at the amazing product that they have provided us with.

At least they have the nuts to go out on a limb.

It's all about money guys. 83% of quads sold in 2000 were utility quads. If I were Honda I'd make a 650 utility quad before the 650 sport too. Then, I'd put a fuel injected 650 in a 400ex frame. Then everyone is happy.

Hey, Rincon is a beach north of LA, dude. (I don't know what that has to do with a utility 4X4???)

Sorry guys,

The Rincon is a JOKE that is played on all of us.

I guess that by the time these things will be in the shop they will already announce the 2005 model. Only a fool would postpone a purchase of a new machine because of some announcement that Honda will sell this thing a year from now. By that time the competition will already announce replacements of their current models and the Rincon will look pretty stupid by then.

I would have to agree with jeffoxsr. The utility quads usually come out first. Look at the new Polaris 700. There has been talk of a sport quad for a couple of years. And the Utility came out first. Still no sport quad.

I read on another post that Rincon was a trail in California. Is that true too, or was the guy mistaken. I know that Rubicon is a trail that you can read about in every 4wd magazine on the shelf, but I've never heard of the Rincon trail.
I wonder if that means there's a Recon trail too.
Anyway, no matter where the name comes from, it still sounds rather silly. I'm also rather disappointed with the styling. Not pretty. And of course those racks are a joke.
If it uses the same tranny as the Rubicon it should be a good performer though. Too bad it's so ugly.

Once I get to Phoenix, I am going to seriously consider the FX400, provided it continues to get rave reviews from the current owners..
