I just bought a one owner 1988 300 4x4 in pretty good shape. I read all about the crappy front brake problem over this and other forums. My left front wheel froze up while the bike sat for about 1 month recently. Was able to break it loose in the yard riding about 25 feet. Took both fronts apart last night and bearings seem ok, but three of the four brake cylinders are not working. Anybody ever had a brake pad rust/adhere itself to the drum??? Sure seems like thats what caused my lockup problem. I might just remove the pads and run like that and see if it does it again. Any other suggestions much appreciated.
