This has being bothering me for awhile I am wondering does the rubi have a slow as death reverse like all the other hondas or is it fast like a polaris in reverse ? Thanks, Zeebo.

PS I know this is kind of a stupid question but I am J/W.

Why would you want to go fast in reverse. Are you going to be racing it backwards.

a reason you dont want a really slow reverse becuase if you get someone riding it who has no clue how, the blow the hole thing up!
Ya, and by the way, they all have slow reverse!

Well, I usually go forward but if I had to guess I would guess you could do 10 MPH in reverse??

Default Rubicon Reverse ?

I do lots of snow plowing and a faster reverse would really be an advantage. I found a way to make it go in reverse as fast as it can go forward,(by fooling the computer) but I'm still trying to figure out if I can bypass the safety with a switch and if any damage can done to the tranny by doing so.

i agree with texmud.
maybe 10 mph.
no more.
if im in some mud and i need to back up to get out.
it has enuff power to spin the tires with no problem.
it dont have much speed in reverse, but its got plenty of power.

Yes the Rubi will do around 9 - 10 MPH in reverse. It is possible to fool the computer, I have got them to have 3 ' gears ' in reverse, but mum is the word on that subject from me.

In-laws have 2000 Traxter and you can shift through all 5 gears going backwards. I don't see the reason for it. I much prefer going frontward.
