Hey everyone, I went last night and picked up my 1st 250R.

It is a 1989 model, with black Maier race plastic, K&K graphics w/K&K seat cover, DG bumper, Graydon nerfs, Pro Taper bars, carbon fiber hood, Ohlins shocks, Riken Radials, Grooved Tamers, LSR +4 axle, chrome motor and swingarm, trued crank, motor was rebuilt from the lower crank bearings up this year, wiseco piston, ported, 38mm PWC carb, FMF pipe.. I guess that's about it.

I haven't gotten to ride it yet because it's rained 2 out of the 2 days I've had it, but when it quits, dirt's going to be flying! I can't wait to let this thing rip! I guess I should change my signature now..

That sounds like a real nice bike. How much did you pick it up for. I was thinking the same thing about people who have Fox stickers and dont even ride.

I got it for $4,000. I just rode it around a little.... Got it dirty, but, it was worth it. I took it on an oiltop road in front of our house, and it hauls! A 3 gear wheelie is NO problem what so ever.. I wasnt even wanting to pull the tires up! I only got it into 4th, and it felt almost as fast as my shee. I am going to take the front wheels/tires to the tire shop one day this week, and get my K&K grooved radials put on the R, and swap the Rikens over to the Banshee.

Yeah, I took it for a little spin today.. It quit raining enough for me to test it out, but I got it really dirty, and had to wash it. I'm planning on taking it to the track wednesday, and taking the Banshee too.. I'll be doing most of the practice on the R, but take a few laps on the Shee, just so I can still be fast on it. I am planning on racing the Shee one more time unless I can feel comfortable on the R. Happy riding!

Looks good except for the front rims, sre they flipped ? looks like it I would flip em back, it's kinda hard on the bearings and spindles. otherwise looks awesome I think I am going to get the black plastic for mine.

R.R, I'm taking the white and black numbers off, and putting some red K&K backgrounds on, with black number 7's. Then I'll take a white number 7 and put it on the front.

Killer250R, the front wheels being flipped won't hurt the spindles, or the bearings. The only way that it will cause stress on them is if you are doing alot of 2-wheeling, and that's something I've learned NOT to do.

I took it to the carwash tonight and got it all shiney.. Too bad I'm going to start riding it tomorrow!! I cant wait!
