440ex: Powdercoat, cams? help me out
#1
I'm wondering what a good color combo would be for my 400ex, my lsr aarms are starting to chip so i'm getting aarms/tierods/frame powder coated. I have red trimmed plastic. I'm wondering what color would look good (frame) and what other color for the aarms? I was kindof thinking red frame and black aarms? I dont know i'm the worst color cordinated person in the world. Also. Who makes a good STRICTLY race cam/rockers?? I was running White Bros but i dont like that so any suggestions? Oh yeah how much does Powdercoating Cost? just frame and aarms

A place around here wanted abotu $300 to sandblast and powder coat my R frame... A-arms would be extra...
You say you have red plastics? Your post says red trimmed, so I am guessing they are stock red that are cut....
What about a Black frame and lower a-arms with chromed upper a-arms? The chroming would cost probably somewhere around $150 for the uppers.... And then also chrome the tierods..... I like that chrome upper powder coated lower look!
As for cams, go TC!!! That would be your best best for performance!

I'm thinking more along the lines of a black frame and red A-Arms. You don't want the frame to blend in with the plastic. I'd want it to stick out if it's black and the red A-Arms will contrast the black frame. Red and Black are good colors. Maybe if I have the time and extra cash I'll strip my X down to the frame and get it powdercoated. Right now I have black plastic, red seat, black bars, red shock covers, red nets on the nerf bars. Looks pretty good, you just can't over use one color or else it ruins everything.
