Toys

I know I am the biggest kid in the house. Im 26 and have a garage
full of toys. Now its time to work on the house. I was at walmart
looking at toys and quads have come along way. We all have seen the
banshee toy but when I was looking around I found something looking real close to a ds 650 and another looking like a raptor. The real pride was a 400ex model I got to put on my tv.

Well my friend, go back to Wal-Mart and look real close and you will see an actual DS650 Bombardier with a plastic man on it. I think its put out by "Road Champs" if im not mistaking. You will also find a Polaris Sportsman 500, and a Scrambler. And a Honda Foreman 400, fourtrax 300, and a 400EX. Try going to a Road Champs web site and you will see what im talking about. If not wal mart, try Toys-R-Us, they got alot too. I have noticed the same thing as you. Quads and dirtbikes has come a long way. I wish TYCO R/C would make a "real looking" 400EX or any kind of brand of atv. I did see a R/C ATV at wal-mart but it didn't look like a specific kind (polaris, honda, yamaha, etc.). If they would make a real looking one I would pay like $50 for it. And if it was gas powered, I would pay anything for it

I bought the gas powered rc quad before Kyosho did away with it. Right now they only carry the electric version.
The gas powered one had some problems....It was very slow and overheated alot. I had to do much upgrading to make it a strong runner. I am in the process of skinning it to look like my banshee.

Yes....at 28 years old, I still play with toys. Actually...RC has been a hobby of mine for some time now. I fly heli's and have a few Rc cars/trucks.
I have a maximum ST too. I opted to get rid of that torq 12 engine that comes with the truck and put in an OS12. The truck is very fast now with no overheating problems.
My buddy has the rustler, and the maximum is faster with the OS engine. Along with the OS engine, you will need to put in a steel differential and dog bones. Otherwise you will be changing tranny gears everytime you use the truck. It's a good idea to put a faster high torque servo in for the steering too.
I just got myself a Tmaxx...Have not even started the engine yet. But soon if the weather stays nice.
