The plastic on my 300ex is all beat up, and I would like to get it replaced (particularly the front assembly). Since I'm going to be spending the money to replace it, would it be possible to fit oem 400ex plastic on the 300ex?

If I replaced the front fenders, gas tank, etc., would this work in conjuction with the 300ex seat and rear fenders, or would this need to be replaced with the 400ex seat and rear fenders?

Also, does anyone have any ideas as to how much this would cost?

Any thoughts, insights, etc. would be appreciated. Thanks.

You have got a great idea however quite a problem. The 400ex is so new to the market You probly wont have any luck finding an after market company selling replacement plastic. I also doubt it would fit up without a serious fight. goodluck

No, 400EX plastic will not work without major modifications, if at all, on a 300EX. The 400 is bigger than a 300, so it would probably look funny if it was possible to 400EX plastic anyway. Besides why spend a bunch of money trying to make it work, and by replacing everything. By new stock 300EX plastic (The best) or Maier, I'd go with stock though. It may cost more, but its worth it.

And yes bushhogz there is platic out for the 400EX by Maier, and maybe even other companies like Motoforce.

I just ordered replacement OEM plastic for my 2000 300EX. I didn't like the way the front "black" fenders looked. So I ordered some replacement "red". Now my machine will be completely red, with red hand grips. It should be really sharp!
They wanted $140.00 for each front fender, and $40.58 for each 300EX decal. Not cheap. So if you could find some used plastic in good shape, it maybe worth saving alittle money.

Hey now...
What happens when a Blaster whips you and everybody thinks you were riding a 400EX. Some joker will post in here that he saw a 400EX get whipped by a Blaster. It all starts again....

I wouldn't be using the 400ex decals, I'd probably get some aftermarket graphic kits. But it doesn't sound like it's possible anyways.

I have a full set of fenders FOR SALE that will fit a 250x/300ex-the front fenders are blue and the rear is white. They are in good condition. (never beat). They are completely clean and ready to ship. I will sacrifice them for $120. EMAIL ME-----MOTOMAN446@aol.com--i live in eastern PA.
