masterofthe250ex I dont think your tires add torque to the motor, also when I go fast I can tip my R and it is ALOT wider then your 250EX and lower.
jeffman i think you should get a 250EX just to play around on, I bet it would be fun.
PS what do you mean you are "in motorcross"?

Found your article interesting. I purchased a new 300ex last year and was pleased except for the Model T design reverse and being extremely cold blooded. Had a chance to sell it for the right money and let her go. Had watched with interest the introduction of the 250ex. Was enticed with the auto clutch (for the wife) and the no maintenance shaft drive so I bought one (yellow). Figured that she could ride it then my son would grow into it. In other words get a lot more use out of it.
I have really been surprised with the machine. It's great for wheelies and has plenty of power for a small package. It is not cold blooded and on really cold days the choke is on the handlebars and not buried under the fuel tank. I too feel the reverse is a snap. I am very pleased with the features and performance for a much smaller investment.
I have been fighting the tire bouncing with 20 plus hours of dirt and dune riding. Dealer finally told me to overinflate them to around 6 psi. Did that yesterday and wow what a difference. No bounce but hard as a rock. Will run a like that a couple of days and readjust to see if that corrected the problem.

<< hey jeffman, how much are you selling your bayou 220 for, what year is it, and does it run good, (any problems or anything?) >>
Well, I said I "wanted" to sell my bayou 220 and get a 250ex. But I can't sell it b/c we cant afford to b/c were having to trade our 97' Silverado for a 96' Chevy Blazer (teal, sweet) which it costs more and were in bad debt right now, but yea, its in real good cond., well maintained (oil changed regular, air filter cleaned regularly, etc.) only thing that as far as looks goes is where I hit a tree a little after I got it and I cracked the fender about a inch and a half long, not too noticeable tho. We have not had any problems with the motor what so ever! Its a 98' model and its still scootin'! If we sold it we was going to ask around $2500 obo for it. It has not been treated rough like some people do, ya know, put their quads through hell and back! Hehe...
