I have a trade setup for my 250EX and $500 dollars for a 2000 Banshee that has a pipe and Rental handle bars. Its blue and its got some light scratches... My 2002 is pertty much new and it has about about 5 hours of total ride time and its in new condition... I have been looking for a faster bike since I bought it pretty much.. And after my nephews bought Yamaha Blasters and where smoking me left and right.. (1 of my nephews is 225lbs and he was still smokng me in my 250EX) I pleased with the overall performance just not its speed... what should I do? should I get the banshee or stay with the slow BUT new 250ex?

PS... I dont trail ride and i dont go MX tracks.. .Im just a rider that loads up his bike and goes and has all ***** out fun... I jump but dont plan on doing any double or triple jumps now or in the near future...

If you like constantly having to tinker with your bike get the Banshee... otherwise keep your 250EX.

Well, I would trade, for a couple reasons, mainly because I consider the 250EX to be a 12 year old girl bike.(NO OFFENCE). I haven't ridden one yet, but have ridden a 2000 Banshee, and they are good bikes. The only problem I have with Banshee's is there lack of bottom end power. They handle pretty good and for an all around bike they are pretty nice. Another thing is, although your bike is newer, a 2000 is still fairly new.

Ltracerx, thanks and I take no offence to your comments... Thats exactly why this guy wants to trade my 250ex for his banshee ... It was his for 6months and then his wife wanted a quad so he bought a raptor and gave the wife the Banshee.. well the wire doesnt like it cause its a manual clutch... So she tried a 250ex in the store and He tells me that she fell inlove with that bike ... so He told her instead of buying it new lets see if anyone wants to trade... So I offered him $200 and my bike... I have a bout 5 hours on mine if that.. and yeah It is SLOW... so since mine is stock and his has a pipe and DG bars he asked me for $500 dollars and my bike... I think its resonable...

Moto, Tinkering with things is the best part..

My background is Drag racing and after blowing two motors and 12 trannies I decided I needed a new hobbie... so I have way to many tools ... So I need to get them to work... Plus it gets out the house...

Well, if your Background is Drag Racing, for sure get the shee. It has the most go fast parts than any other quad! Even if you just "Play Ride" I can ALMOST guarantee you will like the Shee more

It is for sure a better jumping quad than your 250. Wheeling, I don't know, I do know my Mojave wheelied better than my friends 2000 shee, but I didn't want to break it so I never really tryed all that hard.

Well I just got back from looking at the Shee.... Fast bike no problems getting it to wheelie.... damm thing kicks dirt like nothing... My only problem is that it reminds me of a 72 Mach1 Mustang,,,, Its Huge.. lol The major problems I had with it is that it has oil leaks from alsorts of diffrent places... Its got more scratches on it than my drive way where I use to drag my 80 Biuck Regal on hydros... lol tires need to be replaces.. Front rim is bent... The bike is riden by VERY many diffrent people... The list goes on and on.... I got all the juicy info when the man went inside the house and the wife came out and talked to me and my wife... lol She didnt know that her husband was lying about everything... lol

Im gonna get a Graydon Proline Pipe and a K&N jet kit tomorow..Anyone know the price for that pipe? And also some smaller tires... Looking for 20"s got some? drop me a line... Looking for stockers from the 400ex.

Thats what I told him.... I said "if we do a even trade we can do something" he said that he had to think about it... now I dont want the bike and he already tryied calling my cell... So I think he is prepared to do the trade... Cause his wife told him she really wanted my bike... When we went over to look at my bike his wife said It looked like the one on the showroom floor... I was it every time I take it out... I go to the car wash and presure waash the bike and my truck...
