Expect rocks.....I mean its a mountain. There are mudpits. Also a hill called the Widow Maker. I suggest a try at that hill. Plenty of rolling hills lots of open area . But don't get me wrong there are alot of hanging off the side of the mountain technical trails. Good luck on your trip and have fun.

I went there a few months ago. As far as being hard on the tires, I ended up with 2 flats by the end of the day. Although I wouldn't exactly call them "mountains", there are lots of very steep and slick hills, rocky trails. You can ride for several hours without ever covering the same trail twice. There are lots of muddy areas to mess around in and there are also field where you can get some speed. The "mud" was interesting for me because we really don't have much mud out here in Wyoming and Colorado where I usually ride.
My brother ended up getting "stranded" halfway up an extremely steep hill on his 250R, I had to rescue him with the Winch on my Honda Recon, it took us about 45 minutes to get him out. The hill was so steep that you couldn't even stand up. It was too dangerous and probably impossible to turn him around. So we secured my recon to a tree with a rope then lowered it down until the winch could reach the 250R. We winched him up about 150 feet to a point where the hill was less steep and he could finally ride it on up.
But anyway, it is lots of fun. Happy trails.

Alien 01--- Big Rock has it all to keep you entertained for a day, anyhow.
I THINK that they have a MX course, but it may be 2 wheels only. Their website should tell you. I ride the foothills of the Appalachian Mtns. all the time, so, I find the hills at B.R. are challenging, but far from IMPOSSIBLE. There are a few cool technical woods trails that I appreciate. There is a power line right-of-way trail that you can open up your EX on. That'll be fun. There is also LOTS of open stuff to go fast on. Theres also some mud, not a lot....but some. Enjoy the ride!
