I was just wondering if anyone knows where to get information on painting the frame of my R. I don't really care to have it powder coated I'd rather just do it myself. I know all the basics on it but I just wonder if there's anything I can do to make the paint last longer (since it isn't powdercoat). I've heard of people using high heat paint on things like a-arms and swingarms then baking them in an oven to make the paint last longer and more chip resistant, (kind of like powdercoat baking). So if anyone knows of any information on that, especially if it's detailed, let me know.

First you need to sand it really good...i sandblasted mine..get all the dirt and grease and all that good stuff off.

i had mine painted with enamal and cured under heat lamps then clear coated and cured again...seems to hold up pretty good and chip resistant...good luck!!
