Need Help With Lowering Kit

I have a 2001 400ex and I got a front and rear lowering kit for Christmas. I was wondering if I could put either one or maybe both on myself or what? Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated.





2001 Yellow 400ex
A.C. Nerf Bars\front Bumper
Fast Trekker rear tires\Bandit Front
Renthal Bars\Sprockets
K and N Air filter with no airbox lid
Dura blue lowering kit/not installed yet
Yoshi Exaust and Jet Kit on way

it's a bolt on job. unbolt shocks, put in lowering brackets, bolt shock back up to brackets. no trouble at all

Does the lowering kit make it more prone to breaking on big jumps?

when my tecate was lowered i had a problem w/ the airbox hitting the swingarm on big jumps, but no real breakage or damage
