My point is the bolts are tight when you first buy it. Once you start riding they vibrate loose. Hard to ride & check bolts all at the same time.

I torqued my lug nuts one of the first things I checked. I lost one screw from the foot gard, and almost lost the one from the fuel shut off valve twice. I check that son bitch ever ride now, I should locktite it but I want to be able to get it off. I don't ride the quad enough to tell you if it is real tough, but all I do is add gas and change the oil, and filters.

The 400EX was a great bike for about 8 months. No problems, until the piston busted & tore the cylinder sleeve into many pieces. Other than that, good while it lasted. Wish you better luck than I have had.

The 400 EX was a great bike while it lasted. After 8 months the piston busted and scarred the cylinder bad. Now I'm having the motor built to be a Banshee/DS650 Eater. Better luck with yours.
