Anyway people dont consider me a total dumb@$$. It's just all i have ridden are autoclutch quads. Oh and can you get a speedometer and Techrometer on a 400EX? And if so where and which are the best?

The first time I shifted without the pulling the clutch I was on my XR600 and found a toolkit on the trail,so I carried it with me and since I had to hold I couldn't use the clutch. I was impressed at how smooth it shifted, it was like having a shift kit in car tranny. After that I was hooked on riding without the clutch. I still do both,but its smooth shifting thru the gears without it, its like a constant pull.
