I know all the racers change their rear brakes on a 400Ex to 250R rear brakes. What I was wondering is what it takes to do the change? Does the rear caliper on a 250R bolt right on a 4ooEX? anyone who has knowledge I would appreciate it. Thanks, Dave

Baldwin motorsports makes an adapter to make the front calipers work, don't know about the rear, call and ask 440-224-2734

Baldwin makes a mounting bracket to put 250r brakes only on the front of a 440ex. A friend of mine has put the 250r rear brakes on his 400ex. I am not sure how much you have to use from the 250r. He used the axle, bearing carrier, rotor, and the brake mounting plate. How much of this you will need I am not sure, but you will need for sure the mounting plate and the rotor. Maybe someone else will have more info?

Thanks for the responses, I am just tired of changing the rear pads on the 400Ex rear brakes. The 250R is a twin caliper with twice as much surface area. I was hoping to put a 250R rear brake set easily on my 400Ex.
