Back in the day, December 1987. I paid $2900.00 tax, setup, etc. included, for my 1988 trx 250r. I almost bought the Tecate and I'm glad I didn't.

In 1987, the Honda 250R went for $2798, Suzuki LT250R for $2699, and the Kawasaki Tecate-4 went for $2849. This is out of the June 1987 3&4 Wheel Action issue.

In 1989, the Honda 250R went for $4098 and the Suzuki LT250R went for $3499. This is out of the April 1989 Dirt Wheels issue.

Just out of curiosity, did honda anounce that '89 was going to be the last model year, or did they just stop production? I'm guessing they raised the price because if anyone wanted a new one, that would be the last chance?
