Does anyone know of a steering stabilizer kit for a Rancher?
The PEP & Denton Racing kits all seem to be for Sport machines such as 400EX, etc. I hit a washout hard and my wrist still hurts weeks later and am sure a steering stabilizer would have eased the stress on my tired old body. The Rancher came out unscathed.

I hadn't really put 2 & 2 together yet. Thanks, so that's why my wrist hurts once in awhile. I hate getting old.

If you find something, post it, I'll do the same.

With both the Racher and Recon, I get a lot of stearing "feedback" from the ground, especially when riding on hardpack. A damper would be a great help!! I've kept an eye out for one for a long time now, but havn't found any yet. I think a PEP from some other bike could be easily adapted to these bikes. I have a PEP on the 300EX and it is OK. And, a Denton on the 400EX. The Denton is great, but it was a pain to install, and was expensive. Whit Bros. has a new damper out, but it is way expensive.

I've seen a round damper advertised by James Lucky, and I think it is supposed to adapt to any bike????? I don't know how it works, but I wonder if it is just a spring that damps by holding tension on the bars. Anybody know???

YZ guy, why the hell is that your name when all you own is Hondas? I have noticed a lot of your replies recently and was just wondering.

Thanks for all the inputs, they are appreciated. Am wondering if the steering stabilizers could not be adapted to the Rancher but never having seen one installed I just don't know. Would think that if the clamp sizes fit the steering stem on one end and the frame on the other (and space allowed the stabilizer to be mounted at a right angle to the steering stem), one would be in business. Having a stabilizer would be like having a shock absorber inbetween the steering and the riders wrists & arms.

Hogmaster-The YZ thing comes form somewhere else (besides Yamaha). I am a medical researcher (immunologist), and antibodies are shaped like a Y. So I took that and turned it into something that sounds like "wize guy".
