Tires for 400 foreman, how big?

Freind of mine wants to replace the stock tires on his foreman, and is wondering how big of tire he can put on and still keep his stock wheels. Anybody know?

I have a friend who is running 26 x 12 vamps on his original wheels since 97.

I have a 1995 400 with 26-12 rear and 26-9.50 front Trailbreakers any bigger and you will need a lift kit.
