Honda 300 diff
#1
Hey Guys,
I've got a ridiculously dumb question for you. I was getting ready to change the diff oil in my Honda 300 4x4 and couldn't find the drain plugs on the front or rear. I removed the skid plate on the rear and still didn't see anything. Any suggestions for someone that is mechanically challenged? Thanks - Kyle L.

The bottom 12mm bolt on the front diff and the one you have to go thru the skid on the rear--again the lowest of the ring of bolts holding the housing together are the drain bolts. Also you have to drain and refill the transfer case on the front of the engine on the left side. One of the lower bolts on it is the drain bolt. You have to fill it by using a measuring cup to get the right amount in it. If you don't have a manual you'll have to get the correct amount from someone else. If i remember correctly the transfer case uses engine oil and the front and rear end use gear oil.
