HAS ANYONE SEEN THAT NEW PIPE YET? I SEEN IT IN A MAGAZINE AND LIKED IT. I HOPE SOMEONE HERE IN FORUMS HAS HEARD IT AND KNOWS IF IT GIVES A GREAT POWER GAIN.

I'm very interested in the new Power Core system, too. I've ridden a Power Core IV-400EX, and it had good power gains. The drawback, however, was noise. It was loud! It had a big "pop" to it. Way too loud for trails. Good power though. More torque, especially in the low-end. I'd buy it if sound wasn't any issue, and I only had $200 for exhaust.

I need a quiet pipe. My dad won't let me get a pipe that is louder than stock. He thinks stock is too loud, so I need a pipe that provides more power and less sound. I don't that is possible, but I've been checking FMF's web page, hoping that it can help me. FMF has two headers for the 400EX, the Power Bomb and Hi-Flo. I'm excited to see how those do.

Just got off the phone with an FMF sales rep. This new stuff is going to be good. He said that the new Power Core² muffler has the same power as the Power Core IV but 2-3 decibles QUIETER than stock! And . . . it gets better . . . with the Power Bomb header, you lose another 1-2 decibles. This sounds really good, but if is true, I don't know. If it is true, new exhaust, here we come!

1-2 dec. quiter than stock?!?! Hrmm, I always go with the saying, "if it sounds too good to be true, than it usually is", but hey you never know what those guys down at the FMF R&D might be fiddling with. Just doesn't seem realistic, but you never know

Oh yes i forgot, i do have the FMF PC IV and you are right on the ball when you say it is loud! very loud! Sound isnt as much as a concern for me since i race MX, but it's still anoying to me. I wish I could get a system with similar to stock sound output, at a reasonable price, seeing how i got my IV for $179, which was the cheapest at the time, and i still got a good gain from it.

Is the Powercore IV-2 (squared) much quieter than the original Powercore IV? How much?

Someone PLEASE buy one so we can know if it is quiet or a piece of junk. I will be on the phone tomorrow to WB and FMF.

Once I read a magazine test, and they confirm that the new system is quieter than stock, I will order one that day! I should get a new magazine at the end of the month.
