300 4x4 timing?

There is no way of posting an explanation on how to exactly time your machine to make it easy to understand, but I'll try.
On the left side engine case there are two inspection caps. Remove the small one and find the "T" mark and align with the "^" notch. This notch will be exposed when you remove the inspection cap.
When you align the "T" with the notch, be sure that the piston is at the top of it's stroke instead of the bottom.
On the cam sprocket, there are two "-" marks. One on each side. These marks should lay parallel to the upper cylinder head mating surface [The surface that makes contact to the valve cover] When you get these two "lines" parallel to the head, there should be a "^" on the cam sprocket pointing straight up.
That's it.
