Did you try fresh gas and if that didn't work the carb might have to be cleaned up inside because the gas might have turned to varnish. Go to Walmart and in the auto section get some Sta-bil. I have used this product for over 10 in my emergency generator. I have Sta-bil in all my stored vehicles (tanks are all full) and have never had a fuel related problem. I start putting in sta-bil about a month before the end of the riding season and by the time riding is over the treated fuel is everywhere throughout the system.

Change all the fluids, spark plug, and clean the air filter.
I had a DS 185 sitting in my basement for seven years without starting it. Came home one night, thought "what the hell", went out to the shed, got some fresh gas, put a gallon in it, and it fired up on the third kick. True story.
