I live in Anahiem as well we should hook up for rides. Glamis, Dumont, Pinion Hills, El Mirage if your interested.

Going North on the 55 or South? The North my '86 vette can do it comfortably at 65mph, Going south a little faster. The bumps in the pavement make going faster a excercise in keeping it off the walls. Maybe he made some of those really nice looking skid marks into the walls that are always there?

And one time, at band camp, my riding mowers trottle got stuck, wide open, and the Briggs was turning fast, and the tires where getting hot from the speed, and the paint started to peel, from the wind, and finally It quit running, I looked around, I was in San Franciso.

That's nearly double what the stock +/- 8500rpm rev limiter will allow-so he's turning about 15000rpm? With a 250 4 stroke?

Those are some interesting stories. Like this kid down the road just got a 250ex. Although I congradulate him on buying a honda he must but missing something in his head. He sai it did 95 stock. Then he bought a pipe and jet kit, and tells everyone it will go around 120 mph. And, almost as bad is that, some kid came over to my house on a brand new yellow 400ex. He let me ride a little, and then before he left I asked if he was going to get any mods for it.
He said yeah I'm thinkin on gettin a pipe for it you know give it around 25 more hp. WHoa what ever pipe gives a 400ex 25 more hp let me know cause i'm sure some of you 400ex owner would like to get one. I guess for I need to get these guys a subscription to dirtwheels for christmas or somethin.

Due to things going on around here (broken engine cases and major home repair) I won't be going out until Memorial Day but we'd really like you to hook-up with our group! We will probably be going to Hungry Valley or Redrock/Jawbone Canyon and will stay for 3 days. I was playing around on the road one day, doing some wheelies, roosting some road ditches... Just wasting my Holeshots pretty much. Well, here comes this kid on a recon. I have heard stories of this kid bragging on his Recon, saying it was the fastest around and all that kinda crap. Well, I stopped in the road ditch, and he pulled up beside me. After we chatted a while, he asked the question. "So, how fast is it?". I knew he was starting to hint that he wanted to race me, so I just said well, this thing's slow. My 250, which is the same size as yours, is alot faster. Then, he started telling me about how the Recon wastes all other quads. I told him that if he wanted to race, I'd go get MY 250 out of its shed, and race him. After repeated 4th gear races, 15+ bikelengths ahead at 200ft, he finally gave up and declared that his Recon had a fouled spark plug. He has never been back.

 

I raced a kid with a 250R, the track was: drag down the road, turn into a trail, head to the forest on the trail, go back to where we started. I wasted him, I thought I was a gonner. But I wasted him, he claimed he was an expert rider, and that his piston was overheated, and his chain wasnt right. Excusses Excusses!
