My 99 450es runs between 47 & 50 mph.I think the 2002 models run about the same speed.

It depends on who the Committee man over their area is!

My 2002 Forman hit 50 mph before I ran out of road, I dont think it will go much if any faster than that stock. Maybe downhill and wind at your back...

Mine only did 47 with stock tires but at least 50 with my 28 outlaws (even though the speedometer says 40 due to ratio)ran side by side with grizzly to see my actual speed.Of course I'v got the in 4 wd only.

The fastest I've had my 99 450S is 48mph with stock tires. I'm sure it has picked up a mph or two with the 27" mudbugs but I haven't opened it up with them. Also, I'm sure the speedo is off now with the larger diameter tires. I'm not too worried about how fast my Foreman is--that's what my 295R is for

I am always amused when someone asks how fast a utility bike will go. My answer has to be: "Fast enough that when you hit the whoops you are going to get bucked off!!!" The Forman has tight utility style suspension (ie. VERY FAST REBOUND). These bikes may be able to go 50, but they don't have the suspension to handle it on anything but smooth terrain. If you actually want to go fast, get a sport bike.

That's the only thing I don't like about my fourman 400. When I do have to travel a long distance to my bud's house on a gravel road it would be nice if it went faster. I got it up to 70km but that not a good crusing speed as these bikes are geared low and it seems to be pushing it to hard. I usually go between 40-50km's which seems way to slow for a long distance. It would be really nice if the bike had an extra gear, or a low and high transimission it would be well worth the little extra weight and a little more $$.

My buddy's 02 foreman goes 45-47 on a good day. Doesnt really matter if the 4wd is in or not. He has 28 inch Vampires on it now, speedometer says 44 but im assuming hes going about 48-50. thats my 2 cents!!
