I was just wondering how all the sand hills compare. The only big one I've ridden is Big Sand Mountain in Little Sahara, UT. It seems HUGE. Is there anything bigger? Anyone been there, but seen bigger?

Sand Mountain in Utah is extremely long (600ft. to 700ft.) and fairly steep. Choke Cherry hill in St. Anthony Idaho is short (350ft. to 400ft. approximately) but extremely steep with a short starting area. My brother just got back from Glamis and he said Oldsmobile Hill is small and weak compared to the other two I mentioned. I'm not sure about other hills in the country.

Four video's of LS, Utah's Sand Mtn. Sand Mtn Nevada is close in size, but close doesn't count. The fourth vid is the best one. I have more if anybody wants to see them. Oldsmobile hill is WEAK and proves NOTHING!!!!!

Ive never seen sand mountain, but the steepest ones ive seen are China wall and Gecko hills in Glamis. They have unlimited starting room with small whoops. You have to ride your rear brake the whole way back down.

In Krusty Demons of Dirt Part 2 they ride the dunes in Namibia, South Africa and they look huge. I looked them up in a geology book and those dunes are up to 400 meters tall. Thats around 1300 feet high, a bit bigger than anything in this country.
The only potential negative is that the state might nationalize your bike and put you in prison for 20 years or shoot you or something unpleasant like that. But hey, nice dunes and I wanna go.
Who wants to go, maybe we can get bulk freight and plane tickets over there.

Comp Hill at Dumont in CA is pretty Big and Steep. The hill is much taller and steeper than Olds at Glamis. My ATC 250R will not pull the hill without paddles. My ATC250sx will not pull it with paddles. I agree that China Wall in Glamis may be one of the steepest.
