i have been spending way too much time with this. i need to know where the air/fuel mixture screw is located on the 2001 300EX. mine is running extremely rich and i need to quit fouling plugs.

you mean to tell me that no one knows this? all of you who have 300's never tried adjusting your mixture. please help, i am really getting sick of messing with this thing.

why not just call up a honda dealer and ask? or buy a manual i think the ownner's manual might say something i could tell u about my 250r carb but it wouldn't help sorry man id give u a hand if i could

hey man, no problem. i didn't even think of the honda dealer or the manual. i thought someone would know off hand. guess not. thanks.

There is no big screw on the bottom of the carb to turn... There may be an idle bleed screw past the venturi of the carb reccessed into the bottom. It'll take a new main jet to adjust the WOT mixture( located inside the carb bowl, the midrange mixtures may be affected by rasing or lowering the jet needle(accessed through the top of the carb, take the cap off remove the diaphram/slide inspect the slide for access to the needle, there should be a small C clip in one of several grooves on the needle, raise the C clips position a little bit to lean out the acceleration/slow cruise mixture.) If you have a problem with the float system you can be chasing your tail playing with the jets anyhow, make sure the carb isn't flooding from that type of thing first.
