Trust me, once you buy an R, you'll never get another quad!! I love these people that want to slam it for being old and the frame will crack and the parts are expensive, blah, blah, blah!! There is a reason the R's are selling more now than what they sold new for!! You think the Craptor will be doing that in 15 years!! No way. But most importantly, your R only weighs 328 pounds, the Craptor weighs 100 more pounds! Think about that, and they are the same HP basically in stock form. They are the best handling quad ever built. Why do you think all the pro quad riders ride quads with aftermarket chasis that are all based on the R's geometry!

I have an 88 250R and a Raptor and I like the Raptor better. I know what you mean about needing to mod the Raptor and it is expensive. But I bit the bullet did the mods I wanted and love the quad. That great handling light 250r is still sitting in the garage everytime I go out with my friends for a ride.

the quad it's self is perfect in every way, just look at the frame mainly the bar that the foot peg's are bolted too as well as the front, check for bent front brake disks my has some iusse's the wireing harness looked like it was malled by a a shark and then taped my frame the bar i was talking about had a very fixable crack in it and when i took out the engine for its frist rebuild,.....some dumb azz backwoods redneck inbreed burnt a hole in the frame with his or her expert welding skill's and the bottom steering stem bearing's haven't moved in years it looks like lol so im still sifting thro the rumble that was my childhood dream..a 250r not that im sorry i got it for cheap and it has one BAD engine! as far as the quad tho....ill never own another model of quad or atlest ill never take something else in place of an r find a good one and you won't go wrong
