turbocharger?

Another thing to keep in mind is that if you don't keep your airfilter clean, like clean it after every few hours of riding, you're going to be buying turbos frequently. You should clean the filter every time you ride, but it would be mandatory with this setup. For the money this thing costs you could run a lightwieght 250R with a 350PV motor and you'd still be smoking them without any extra stuff to go wrong on your machine. I would be very hesitant to put a turbo on a aircooled machine as they produce a lot more hear to go along with the power.

A turbo is kind of a risky step, these motors weren't designed for forced induction, and no one quite knows what the long term consequences could be. I don't think the stock cooling systems on our machines are sufficient for cooling a turbo motor, especially an air cooled machine. The absence of an intercooler will not cause you to melt your engine, but your turbo wouldn't last very long. Unless you are doing some serious drag racing, a turbo is probably not the best idea. I have been around turbo imports for a while now but have been around quads alot longer, I would never stick a turbo on my ATV.
