I am going to start racing mx in about a week and was wondering what tires would be good for racing and still good for the trails around my house. I was thinking about Holeshot XCR's since I had the XCT on my old Mojave and liked them even though they were a pain in the butt to get up on the bead, and one of them never did get up on the bead the whole time I had it. But they always had great traction. So anyways would the XCR's be a good choice for MX and trail? Thanks in advance guys and girls.

Your choice is a good one, but the 18" HoleshotMX is better for motocross and works well on trails as long as it's not deeply rutted affecting your ground clearance. If your trails are laden with rocks and stobs, go with the 20" XCT. They work well on the track...just not as good as the 18" MX.

ok I will probably go with the XCR then since my trails are pretty well rutted. Thanks.
