Glad to hear that you got it back KILLER. I get over 3 reports a week regarding stolen quads and motorcycles in our local area. You are very lucky.

Here is a tip for you that has been doing wonders in the market.

Krypto Disc now makes a disc lock that has a VERY loud siren enclosed. It runs about $60.00......Just lock it to your rear brake disc. If the quad even moves ever so slightly, it will be heard!!!!!!!

You can also buy one of those battery operated warning buzzers that you can bolt inside your airbox out of sight. It has a handheld transmitter that will make it beep loudly within 100 yards. You can get them at any major retail chain.

Again, Happy you got your R back

When they find this thief guilty, and I'm sure they will, find out if they make him pay reparations. If not, file a small claims court lawsuit against him and his parents. Since this guy is probably not of legal age, you need to hit his parents, and that sucks, but you gotta do it. Then, when you win the lawsuit, you have the opportunity to recoup the money you had to spend restoring your quad to original condition. Don't look to make money on the deal as the courts frown on that, but look to be made "even." Repair the quad and keep every receipt and log the hours you had to spend doing it and have a dollar amount that you would charge yourself if you were being paid for it.

Nice to see you win one!

I'm glad to hear things worked out for you. Nothing worse than a thief.

I had a close call on January 2, I got my house broken into. They came in for my r but the garage door got stuck, lucky me. They took a few things but the insurance covered it. It is still eating away at me. I almost want to bait them.

I use the baby monitor (Fisher@price) method for my out building where the quads are kept. I put the transmitter in that building and put the receiver on my night side by the 12 gauge, 357 and infra red goggles. If I were to hear something I would have to just to go visit the building and see who likes my stuff as well as I do.

I have seen lately where they now have 900mgz camera transmitter and small monitor receiver pretty cheap. Might try one of those in the near future.

Rob,

These are basically the car "buzzers" that people add to vehicles which weren't equipped with them as standard equipment.

It's the device on the key chain that you mash when you loose a car in a parking lot......similar to that.

It has 3 settings [the one's I have seen]. A constant whine[panic] and two other noise features. They are very popular with the sport bike guys.

You can pick one up from AutoZone, or any other place dealing with automotive accessories.

The Krypto disc with alarm has been a best seller. You can buy them from any dealer.
