How fast is a 2000 Husaberg 501cc engine. How much horsepower does it have, and would it be good to put it in a 250R. There is one for sale and i thinking about buying it. He is selling it for $5200 obo, so please could you tell me if that is a fast engine, is it faster than a raptor, banshee, or even faster than the stock 250R engine. thanks for any replies.

Don't get a Husaburg. You could get a much better motor for a lower price than that. Try a YZF 426 or CRF 450, or a XR 650. From all the Husaburgs I have seen on the track (bikes, not quads) I wasn't impressed with their power and acceleration.

I doubt those tall 4 strokes would fit in a 250R frame.

There's too many factors too consider. I personally wouldn't though. But first, whats the suspension like? Stock or aftermarket? Did he do it himself, or did a professional do it? Do you plan on racing it? If so, unless your local tracks don't have a CC limit, you will have to ruun the open class. Do you prefer 2 strokes or 4 strokes?

I just looked at it. I wouldn't buy it, not for $5200 anyway.
