Is there a quad frame for the 250r motor(air cooled) that would house the components i have? couldnt i just get a frame and some other additions...piece by piece..and start from there? Does anyone know if a good site for these types of parts. I live in a crappy town and the dealership overprices too much here. thanks for the input.

The front fenders and the frame remind me of a suzuki LT250R. Take a look for youself.

seems like some kind of frame is out there. those old 250r motors are raced in air cooled divisions. why not 250x frame?

You guys kill me!!!LOL

Most PROJECTS like this end up costing more and getting less for what you want to do.

The guy has $1,500 budget for this, so lets help him get what he want.

1. Part this thing out.
2. Spend a couple of hours cleaning and making it presentable.
3. Sell it at Glamis or other dune riding place as is.
4. Take the $1,000???+ dollors you get for it your $1,500 and buy a Good used quad.

This will leave you with a much better working ride than the $1,500 conversion.

You can find 400EX for around $3-3,500, and some others for less.

Hope that helps.

when i first looked at this picture, it didnt look too bad to me. once i looked at the other pictures, my reaction went from "that doesnt look THAT bad" to "oh dear, what the hell happened". is that Quadracer plastic? i see blue spray paint on the chain and shocks! why in the world would you paint the frame blue? i could understand if the plastic was a similiar colour but the plastic is red!the bumper is almost sideways! all i have to say is this:yikes.
